Alan Campbell Sensei, 8th Dan JKS
Sunday 7th April 2023

We are delighted to welcome Alan Campbell Sensei, 8th Dan and Head of JKS England, to our dojo on Sunday 7th April 2024. Alan Sensei will be overseeing Kyu gradings for our members in the morning, followed by a special seminar for advanced grades in the afternoon.

The seminar is open to all, irrespective of style, association or affiliation.

Alan Sensei began training in 1978 at Inverness Karate Club, reputedly one of the toughest dojos in the entire country. He has represented both Great Britain and Scotland at International level, most notably winning the Team Kumite event at the 1995 JKA European Championships. After joining the JKS in 2003 he was made Chairman of JKS GB & Ireland - a role that later evolved into his current position as JKS England Chief Instructor. He gained his Hachidan in 2023 under Masao Kagawa Shihan at the JKS International Seminar in Tokyo, making him one of a small handful of Westerners to be graded to 8th Dan by the Japanese.
